Today I did a quick walk through Guadalupe Oak Grove Park before work. Again I found an ORANGE CROWNED WARBLER with a mixed flock including Townsends Warblers. I checked the tree tops for a Merlin and spotted a GOLDEN EAGLE perched on top of a Redwood tree on the Villa's hill. It looked huge even at that distance.
At home I checked our Live Oak tree in the front yard which was full of birds taking acorns. Then spotted a pair of Golden Eagles soaring near Quicksilver Park about 6 blocks away. One left the other and flew directly overhead. Lee was finally able to see the golden feathers. I assume it was flying back to Guadalupe Oak Grove Park 6 blocks to the north.
