[SBB] Ibis

A late-morning to early-afternoon visit to eh New Chicago Marsh (walking
along the RR tracks north from the Environmental Education Center entrance
road, and also stopping along Spreckles Street) didn't turn up any
unusual shorebirds. There were about 11 GREATER YELLOWLEGS, mostly at
the Spreckles St. pond, and just two or three dozen each of the two
expected. PHALAROPE species. But there was a WHITE-FACED IBIS. It flew
in and landed west of the RR trakcs, beyond the Spreckles St. pond, at
about 11:25. After posing for about 5 minutes, it moved back into the
pickleweed, and I didn't try to keep track of it further. It seemed
overall rather dull, so I'd guess it was an immature. The dull facial
skin patch didn't show any paler borders. On a couple of occasions (with
a scope) I made out a reddish tint to the eye.
Before that, I walked along Coyote Creek from Montague Expy to a bit
north of Sycamore. I did turn up one WESTERN TANAGER, but otherwise only
found the regulars.
