This morning at 9:15, five BURROWING OWLs were standing on a mound at
Shoreline Park. I'm not good enough to tell whether some were
juveniles, but I'm guessing so. They were all roughly the same size.
They moved around more than BUOWs usually do, in my limited experience.
The mound is on the bay side of the bike/ped path across the street
from the golf course, not too far from the boathouse. It's one that
has a man-made burrow in it -- the pipe is visible.
