Hi all:
Apologies for the late report. Wednesday morning I
had a male and female Western Tanager in the eucs just
inside and to the right of the Oka Rd. entrance to Oka
Ponds. There was a Spotted Sandpiper working the
shoreline of the pond to the left of that entrance.
Three sightings of Green Heron probably represented
two birds. Both Forster's Terns and a Caspian Tern
were working the biggest pond to the east.
Kingfishers engaged in some kind of play. It looked
like too much fun to be any kind of territorial
dispute.
Good birding,
Bob Power
