Hi Birders-
Around 8am this morning I walked along Stevens
Creek from L'avenida in Mtn View. On the downstream side of where the power
lines cross the creek I found a or the NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH. It was high in a
tree chipping away and then it flew off toward Charleston Marsh. A few minutes
later on the upstream side of the power lines I found the BLACK & WHITE
WARBLER. It was working an area from the power lines to the drainage that
crosses the path (the drainage closest to L'avenida). I got out of there just in
time, as a large foot race was about to begin along L'avenida. In Alviso, the
juvenile male RUFF was on the south side of the EEC entrance road. On the north
side Pete Latourette pointed out a Pectoral Sandpiper on an island with
dowitchers, but they all flew off and landed way out in the
marsh.
