[SBB] Magnolia Warbler, NOWA along Stevens Creek at L'Avenida

All,

This morning 9/27/07, I once again birded Stevens Creek from south of
the end of L'Avenida to Crittenden Lane and back. The highlight today
was a hatch-year MAGNOLIA WARBLER in the first trees in the riparian
corridor just north of the end of L'Avenida at 8:41am. The NORTHERN
WATERTHRUSH was still present, this time on the west side of the creek a
little way north of where the creek flow crosses over to the west
channel. Sparrows have returned in numbers, with 17+ WHITE-CROWNED, 16+
GOLDEN-CROWNED, 4 LINCOLN'S, and 1 FOX being found this morning.
YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS (10) outnumbered YELLOW WARBLERS (4+) today.
Other migrants included

1 NORTHERN FLICKER
1 MARSH WREN
4 RUBY-CROWNED KINGLETS
1 WESTERN WOOD-PEWEE (hatch-year)
3 WILLOW FLYCATCHERS
2 "WESTERN" FLYCATCHERS
5+ CEDAR WAXWINGS
3+ ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS
7 COMMON YELLOWTHROATS
9 SAVANNAH SPARROWS
1 DARK-EYED JUNCO

I also saw a PIED-BILLED GREBE and 2 GREEN HERONS (1 adult, 1 immature)
in the creek today.
