This morning (Mon, Sept 25) I saw an immature MacGILLIVRAY'S WARBLER along
the Guadalupe River Trail on the opposite side of the channel from the Water
District. The bird was seen foraging in an area of dense vegetation
(willow, holly-leaf cherry, pepper tree, etc) near the spillway.
Earlier I had checked the pedestrian bridge area of Alamitos Creek at
Almaden Lake for the Blackpoll Warbler reported by Janna, but was unable to find
it. In a willow near the creek outlet, however, I found a WILLOW
FLYCATCHER, a WILSON'S WARBLER, and several YELLOW and YELLOW-RUMPED
WARBLERS. I also saw several NUTMEG MANNIKINS in the berry brambles at the
outlet.
