[SBB] Palo Alto Baylands

Folks:

This morning, 9/22/07, I birded the ranger station and fennel patch
at the Palo Alto Baylands, looking for migrants in the occasional
showers. Nothing particularly exciting there. Apparent migrants
included: an immature WILLOW FLYCATCHER, 3 "WESTERN" FLYCATCHERS, 2
WARBLING VIREOS, a SWAINSON'S THRUSH, 4 ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS
including 2 _celata_ (one very gray), 26+ YELLOW WARBLERS, and 7
COMMON YELLOWTHROATS. First of fall birds included 6 HY AUDUBON'S
WARBLERS and a HY GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW (among 15+ white-crowns). A
count of 8 LINCOLN'S SPARROWS suggests a strong passage of these in
the last two days, this included 6 birds at one time on the ranger
station lawn.
