Hi Birders-
I was at the park this morning. I managed only
a brief view of the Blackpoll Warbler before having to get back to work.
Was glad to read that it was seen again and that other warblers were seen. So I
went back after work. It was rather dark and gloomy there and not a single
warbler was seen. In fact the only birds I saw were a flock of White-crowned
Sparrows in one of the willows near the playground near the entrance. Scanning
the tree I saw the head of a probable Clay-colored Sparrow. It disappeared and I
moved on, but I refound the bird in another willow. The light wasn't good but it
seemed to have more pattern than a Brewer's and less than a Chipping. All the
birds flew out into the middle of the weedy field between the playground
and the entrance. I had to leave. So I'll go with Clay-colored for
now.
