[SBB] Yellow rumped Warbler, Cedar Waxwings

Many Common Yellowthroat's were giving contact calls and a three seen
early this morning at the water district. Unfortunately someone was
spraying an herbicide and scattering dry bait around the building, which
was irritating, so I left soon after. The SPOTTED SANDPIPER and seven
VAUX'S SWIFTS were seen here. A large turtle was slowly making his way
up the spillway, when whoosh back down he went.

On the Guadalupe River Channel across from the water district, I found
an immature WHITE CROWNED SPARROW associating with Song Sparrows. I met
Larry Spivek and we watched Yellow Warblers and our first fall YELLOW
RUMPED WARBLER in the eucalyptus trees. Several juv. Hooded Orioles were
eating fruit from the holly leaf cherry bushes.

Around noon I returned to Lake Almaden. As much as that place irritates
me, I often find some good birds there. An immature WILLOW FLYCATCHER
was seen on the west bank of the creek south of the pedestrian bridge. A
WARBLING VIREO and three WESTERN BLUEBIRDS, one an immature, were found
near the picnic area. At least a dozen YELLOW WARBLERS, including
several males with red streaking, were seen throughout the property. A
small flock of CEDAR WAXWINGS flew into a sycamore, one was immature
with streaked undersides. Many Nutmeg Mannikin's some with young, were
seen and heard today.
I won't go into the irritating part.
