Does anyone know if young successfully fledged from the nest on the
second island? I was out there on Sunday, and it seemed pretty clear
there were no longer any young around. However, based on the data of
first observation of the chicks, and information in Ehrlich's book,
they would have fledged (if they survived) about two weeks earlier
than last weekend.
By the way, last weekend there were at least 16 Brown Pelicans on A16,
and a week before that I had seen 16 in flight over Spreckles Stree.
