[SBB] White crowned Sparrows

Myself and eight others accompanied Alan Thomas on todays Audubon field
trip to Los Alamitos Creek trail. I missed the first half hour and last
hour but was the only person with access to SBB.

The highlight was two immature WHITE CROWNED SPARROWS in the open area,
about one half mile south of Lake Almaden. Other notable birds were

Belted Kingfisher
Northern Shoveler f.
Caspian Tern flying downstream with a fish
Common Moorhen juv.
Spotted Sandpiper
Western Tanager
Common Yellowthroat
Yellow Warbler
Downy Woodpecker pair
Nutmeg Mannikins

If they checked the yard at Crossview Ct. on their return, they may have
seen the singing Cal. Thrasher and male Wilson's Warbler which I saw
after I left the group.
