Hi Birders-
Yesterday morning in Alviso there were five Stilt
Sandpipers still in the first pond along the tracks north of the EEC entrance
road. Today there were four. Over at the EEC I saw a Sora along the channel
across from the floating dock. Up at Ed Levin Park in the Spring Valley area
massive quantities of Wild Turkeys were in a near riot
- displaying, fighting, squaking (not gobbling), running in
circles, and generally behaving badly. Birds in other parts of the
park and on private property came running down to join them. It was a sight. One
turkey was was very buff colored with large white wing patches. It looked rather
exotic.
