I had long lacked Horned Lark for my county list, so I journeyed up Sierra
Road late on Monday morning. A nice size flock of HORNED LARKS (at least
ten) were at a spot about 1.5 miles southwest from the summit with Felton
Rd. AMERICAN PIPITS and WESTERN MEADOWLARKS were also in the flock. A
juvenile GOLDEN EAGLE was about 3 miles from the summit.
