This afternoon, 10 Oct 07, there was a juvenile
HEERMANN'S GULL in salt pond A16, on the first island
in front of the EEC building. The bird flew in as I,
and my brothers, were scoping the island, landed and
proceeded to preen for many minutes while we watched.
It was still there when we left after about 10
minutes.
Also, a PECTORAL SANDPIPER was in the pond south of
the entrance road.
