[SBB] Stevens Creek Crittenden/Avenida, pix

This morning from 8-10 I walked the east side of Stevens Creek from
Crittenden to La Avenida and back. Saw or heard 2 WARBLING VIREOS, 1 WILLOW
FLYCATCHER (pic), 6 RUBY-CROWNED KINGLETS (these seem to be here now in
full array), 10+ YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS (ditto), 4 heron species, 5
GREEN-WINGED TEAL along with the usual many Mallards, full usual winter
array of Zonotrichia sparrows, and a BELTED KINGFISHER.

No warblers other than the YRs. But one of those was very interesting, and
I was able to get a clear photograph of it -- a partially amelanistic*
Audubon's, with large areas of the brown and gray plumage white, though
with the full complement of yellow bits (which allowed me to identify the
bird once I looked at my picture.)

When I got home from this delightful outing I capped it off by finding an
adult COOPER'S HAWK perched on my backyard fountain, which I was able to
photograph (albeit through a none-too-pristine window).

*This follows the terminology proposed by Jeff Davis in his article on
color abnormalities in the current issue of Birding. Jeff's article is very
interesting, his terminology logical, and, hey, he used a picture of mine.
