Hi Birders-
On the way home from work I stopped in Alviso just to have a look. From Los Esteros Rd where it crosses the tracks I noticed the two Cattle Egrets were close to the JCC parking lot. So I turned around and drove over there. But as I reached the parking lot on Disk Dr, a flock of at least 100 blackbirds, mostly RWs, came down in the field across the street. They kept splitting up and moving around, but at one point there were nine Yellow-headed Blackbirds in a row on the chain link fence, all female or immature male. There was also a near adult male around, so I confirmed at least ten, but there were probably a lot more. I drove across the parking lot to check out the Cattle Egrets. One is in full or near full breeding plumage, with a reddish-based bill. When I turned around the blackbirds were gone.
