Re: [SBB] Stellar Jays nesting in foothills



Just as an FYI -- I spent a few days in Yosemite at Wawona in late
April, and as it happened, the building my room was in had a Stellar's
Jay nest.

Reason I mention this is that the Jay in that nest had already laid
and was sitting when I was there, and that was two weeks ago. Maybe
I'm making an unsafe assumption, but I would have assumed that at the
higher altitude that breeding would have been later than down here
towards sea level, not far ahead...
