[SBB] McClellan Ranch Hooded Oriole

Hi all:

A male Hooded Oriole popped up in the palms this
morning at McClellan Ranch, Cupertino.

A fly-over male Wood Duck continues a week-long string
of Wood Duck sightings along this stretch of Stevens
Creek betw. McClellan Rd. and the old orchard part of
the preserve property.

Violet-green swallows have been in for about a week.

Red-shouldered Hawks are in serious love.

The Red-breasted Sapsucker continues to be seen and
heard at various times during the day in the first 100
yards of the trail heading out of our parking lot.

C'mon out and be the first one in 2007 to spot a
Bullock's Oriole, and I'll make you a cup of coffee.

There's still time to join some tremendous trip
leaders for the spring birdathon and include McClellan
Ranch as part of your route.

Good birding,
Bob Power
