Chuq,
Apparently the following SBB post did not go through. Would you please post the note below?
regards, Janna Pauser

Ann Verdi and I birded Sierra Azul OSP this morning June 13. We parked
at the pullout across from the Bald Mt. trailhead and walked up Mt.
Umunhum Rd. to the Barlow Rd. trail. Our first bird was an Ash-throated
Flycatcher seen near the pullout. Birds were zipping around right and
left, but hard to get on, before disappearing into the brush. We had
a Warbling Vireo, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Cal. Thrasher and a Lazuli
Bunting pair here.

The Barlow Rd. trail was active with Orange-crowned Warbler, Wrentit,
Hutton's Vireo, and another Lazuli Bunting pair. Two singing male
Black-throated Gray Warblers, and several Warbling Vireos were also
seen. We walked as far as the first Digger Pines finding more LABU
males, and BGGN. A third Black-throated Gray Warbler was heard only
further down the trail. Several Band-tailed Pigeons and one Vaux's Swift
flew overhead as we returned to Mt. Um Rd.

Ann spotted several Cal. Whiptail lizards along the road on our walk back
to the car. One more singing Black-throated Gray Warbler was perched
atop a twig in a Bay tree near the gate. We did not hear or see a
Black-chinned Sparrow, although we didn't venture out onto the Bald Mt.
trail today.
