All,
This morning Frank Vanslager and I had a molting male EURASIAN WIGEON in
the northeastern corner of Salt Pond A3W (with two male NORTHERN
SHOVELERS). There were very few birds seen in our walk around
the "West Pond" of the Sunnyvale Water treatment Facility or in the
Lockheed Martin Ponds. As Frank noted recently you can now walk west along
the northern edge of the Lockheed Martin Ponds and then north between Salt
Pond A3W and the western edge of the "West Pond." To me, this is the
preferred route for birding this area.
Take care,
Bob
