On Monday, 7/2/07, I arrived at Skyline Ridge OSP
to find John Hutz and another birder looking at the male INDIGO BUNTING singing
from a coyote bush very near the entrance road. The bird was active and
singing frequently from 8:15 to 9:30, seen on both sides of the entrance road
between the main entrance and the northernmost parking lot. Later in the
morning I had fleeting looks at one or more SAGE SPARROWs on the Ridge Trail
just before the rocky outcrop with the railing.
