While standing at my kitchen window around 9:30 this
morning, I saw the shy SLATE-COLORED JUNCO dash in
and out to feed with the Sparrows and Oregon Juncos.
I continued to watch for it, while seeing the Sooty
Fox Sparrow, male Spotted Towhee, and in the large
Pine tree, a VARIED THRUSH flew from linb to linb. A
first! yard bird for me.
