[SBB] Ruff (hooray)

After seeing the urban COMMON LOON in San Jose this morning, 19 Jan 07, I went to the EEC in Alviso, where I had the RUFF (FINALLY!) foraging south of the entrance road. In keeping with this bird's routine, it was gone only minutes later. A couple of WHITE-THROATED SWIFTS were over the marsh with about 6-8 TREE SWALLOWS. The levee along the south edge of A16 had the/a GLAUCOUS GULL and 2 of the CACKLING GEESE.

Also, yesterday the BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER continued at the ITT field near the Emily Rentzel Wetlands in Palo Alto.
