Good evening all....
Stopped by Vasona this morning to check on the herons.... Nest 1 and 2 have
pairs and Nest 12 has a single male. They all flew to the large island and
stayed there most of the morning basking in the sun.
Ruby-crowned Kinglets seemed to be all over today.....Bluebirds, Red-tailed
and Red-shouldered were paired up and seen. The water level is extremely
low at Vasona. They will not release any water from Lexington due to the little
ran we have had (or not had).
The Hooded Merganser male and two females still present and the Common
Mergansers as well.....
Wishing you all good birding and my best regards,
Linda Sullivan
PS. A Townsend's Warbler is still in my backyard along with, Spotted Towhee
and CA Towhee, Yellow rumped Warblers, Kinglets, a pair of Red-shouldered
Hawks, House Finch, Bewick's Wren, Junco's, a Lincoln's Sparrow, Gold and White
crowned Sparrows....
In the Rinconada Lake Bufflehead and Ruddy
Ducks!
