All,
If anyone should happen to photograph the Iceland Gull that was seen
yesterday (1/10) I would really appreciate a copy (my digital camera was
accidentally left at my sister-in-laws over the New Year and I can't get it
until later next week). Note, the Iceland Gull was the whitest Gull I've
ever seen, other than an albino Herring Gull seen some years ago, and may well
show up again at Salt Pond A16, the CCFS "Waterbird Pond" or
even Hidden Lake in Milpitas (where the Iceland Gull that was
recently accepted as a State record was seen in February 2005). This
gull was much whiter than the ICGU seen then and is obviously much whiter than
young Glaucous Gulls.
Thanks and good luck,
Bob Reiling
