Yesterday I went on Ted Chandik's Fly by Dawn's trip to Panoche Valley.
Because it is so near I thought people might be interested in some of the
birds we saw because they are different than in our area. The best look of
this day was at a Greater Road runner who stayed with us for 15 minutes
moving around. http://www.pbase.com/merigan/roadrunners To get the
detail on him open up the photo by clicking your mouse on him or seeing the
sideshow. Other sighting included Lark
Sparrows http://www.pbase.com/merigan/larksp, Mercy Hot
Springs had its usual compliment of Long-eared
Owls. http://www.pbase.com/merigan/longeared
and surprisingly a
Barn Owl who might be convalescing among the Long-eared with an abdominal
wound.
