The Palo Alto Baylands Cattle Egret has only infrequently been reported, but at least some of the reports have indicated the bird was present in the afternoon. Thinking that it might be roosting at the duck pond, I stopped by at 5:00pm today 2/2/07. Sure enough, the CATTLE EGRET was standing under the palm trees and at 5:05pm flew up into them, presumably to roost.
