[SBB] Adobe Creek and Shoreline Lake

This evening, Friday, August 17, I parked at Terminal Blvd. and walked
out to Adobe Creek and Shoreline Lake. In Adobe Creek by the partially
submerged branches where the cormorants always perch (four were there
this time), there were two Pied-billed Grebe chicks being fed by one
adult. A little further on, where the creek forks, there were well
over 100 American White Pelicans, along with even larger numbers of
Mallards and dowitchers.

At Shoreline Lake, a Green Heron flew onto the wooden structure at the
west end of the lake at 7:22pm and stayed there until after sunset. It
caught one fish and one shrimp. I took a lot of pictures of it. One of
them is here:

I'll post a few more pictures in the coming days.
