[SBB] out of area -- point reyes...

quick note for those interested; went up to Point Reyes yesterday to  
do some exploring and birdwatching. Full report and photos are here:

Nothing really unusual to report for the season -- White-Winged  
scoters and a couple of common loons off of Drake's beach, a large  
flotilla (50+) of surf scoters on Drake's bay, along with a few  
buffleheads. Lots and lots and lots of turkey vultures (over 30, at  
one point, 8 in the air in view) and brown pelicans.
