I went to Salt Pond A16 this morning. One Black Tern flew from east to
west along the south levee at 9:30am, but it went past the railroad
tracks and did not return. At the west end of the pond was a Brown
Pelican.
The two Black Skimmers on the second island were patrolling the area
on foot, but I did not see any chicks. The two on the first island
just lay there.
There were many Red-necked Phalaropes in New Chicago Marsh, but I
could not identify any Wilson's.
