[SBB] Franklin's gull continues @ sunnyvale water plant (and other stuff)

I spent some time out at the water plant today. The Franklin's gull was found between 10 and 11:30 hanging out with a flock of gulls and stilts out past the water redistribution area on the western levee after it makes the turn to the right.

I've got some decent pictures which I'll post later.

Other highlights of the day -- a couple of red-tailed hawks, more blackbirds than you could want to count, a couple of flocks of bush tits, one group attempting to work some wild dill that was flowering but kept getting chased off by a warbler who seemed to want the plant for its own. I thought at first it might be a common yellowthroat, but later views made it clear it wasn't -- might be a yellow-rump, but it seemed wrong for that. if I have a decent shot, I'll post it for the experts.

lots of pied-bill grebes, including some that looked to be really young -- seems to have been a successful season. One great, one snowy egret, two great blue herons, some house sparrows arguing with the bushtits over that dill plant, and as I was leaving, I had a sparrow fly by and pose for me -- it turned out to be a very (very very) dark sooty fox sparrow.
