All,
Yesterday, I led my Palo Alto Adult School birding class to Sunol
Regional Wilderness, followed by Calaveras Reservoir and Ed Levin
Park. SRW report is posted on EBB.
At Calaveras Reservoir, we were excited to see the BALD EAGLE and
what looked like 2 grayish, downy chicks! While we made a quick tour
of the purple flowers at Ed Levin, no unusual Hummingbirds were
located. Uphill, by the sycamore grove, we located several
GRASSHOPPER SPARROWS, RUFOUS-CROWNED SPARROW and LAZULI BUNTINGS were
also numerous and vocalizing. Three LAWRENCE'S GOLDFINCHES also made
an appearance.
