Hi All,
I took a short walk in Arastradero Preserve in Palo Alto today and saw dozens of BICOLORED FORM RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS. They were chasing each other around, diving into nests(?) in the deep grass, and perching from time to time on anything slightly above average height. Here are a couple of photos, one of a male and one of a female.
I also saw what appeared to be a LESSER GOLDFINCH on a small bush about 250 yards west of the parking area, maybe 75 yards after going over the small wooden foot bridge. I took a photo, but it came out blurry. Nevertheless, I can make it available to anyone who would like to confirm the ID.
What a beautiful day today. Hope others enjoyed the day too.
Best,
Phil Terzian
