Subject: Black Swift at Santa Clara Valley Sewage Treatment

Hello birders,

The field crew just rolled in after morning surveys and said that the
saw a Black Swift over the sludge ponds near the Coyote Creek Field
Station. They described it as an all black swift that looked equal in
size or a little larger than a white-throated swift. They also said
they saw a slight notch in the tail. I don't expect that it will
stick around for very long, but they spotted the bird at 7:30 this
morning. Also, the swift was spotted just across from the trailer
flying over the sludge ponds. Happy birding!
