I returned to Smith Creek today, 12 Apr 07, and this time found a nice flock of warblers on the hill behind the fire station that included 3 NASHVILLE WARBLERS, 12+ TOWNSEND'S WARBLERS, 2 BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLERS, 2 ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS, a handful of YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS, and a WESTERN TANAGER. While watching this flock, an OSPREY circled by overhead.
I went down to the creek trail and here I had another NASHVILLE WARBLER at ground level, working the snowberry and giving killer looks from 20 feet, even showing its orange crown patch. Also, at least 3 WILSON'S WARBLERS were in this area.
