Charleston Slough
Semi-palmated Plover

Things got a wee bit dicey here, as the parks staff
were cautioning everyone to go inside/home, anywhere
but birding, due to the Redwood City Sims
Metals/scrapyard fire. Palo Alto Baylands was skipped
as a result.

Shoreline lake
Horned Grebe
Clark's Grebe

Arzino Ranch
Burrowing owl

Alviso Marina
Bonaparte's Gull

Alviso EEC
Cliff Swallow

Calaveras Res.
Bald Eagle
Prairie Falcon -- another unbelievable "behind the
branches" sighting, this time from Sarah Tasker
Rock Wren

Ed Levin
Mary Wisnewski / Bill Walker with the latest Dean
Manley report, leading to:
Lawrence's Goldfinch
Western Kingbird

Melanie O'Brien had an obvious Wood Duck, mixed in
with Mallards at Oka Ponds that the rest of us missed.
Not counted in the day's totals.

Meghan O'Brien spotted more birds faster, better,
sooner, than any of the rest of us with the eagle-eyes
of the young.

Good birding,
don't try this at home,
your results may differ,
Bob Power
