SBBers,
This afternoon (09-28-06) I biked north along the Los Alamitos Creek Trail from Almaden Lake to the end. North of the SCVWD a flock of about 12 CEDAR WAXWINGs flew into a tree. Toward the end of the paved trail I saw a group of about 30 birds in the water. I could identify a RUDDY DUCK but not the rest because they were backlit. I biked around to the unpaved side. In the group were 3 RUDDY DUCKs and 26 HORNED GREBEs. I have never seen so many HOGRs together. What do you call a group of HOGRs?
Good Birding,
Peggy Don
