Too busy today to check any postings, hence no warbler fun. But between painting the house and buying a washing machine I snuck over to Alviso. At the RR crossing on the EEC entrance road I ran into Larry Spivak. We walked up the tracks searching for one of the Ruffs. Nothing. After about 20 minutes, and maybe 300 yds up the tracks, I noticed a bird perhaps 200 yards E of the tracks that seemed different. Through Larry's scope we confirmed it was the lame Ruff. A harrier fushed all the birds once and the Ruff flew twice more on its own, each time landing in view, still far away. Good enough for me. My first Ruff in over a year.
