Folks:
This morning, 9/8/06, I walked downstream along Coyote Creek below
Hwy 237. I initially walked along the net lanes and then below the
CCFS station following the birder's trail between the overflow
channel and the riparian edge (sometimes good, sometimes a
weedwhack). I went further along the lower road and turned back
where that road finally joins the levee road. Along the net lanes it
was quiet with a heard PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHER, 3 COMMON
YELLOWTHROATS (could be migrants or dispersants), and a WESTERN
TANAGER. Below CCFS it was birdier with a flushed BARN OWL, 3
"WESTERN" FLYCATCHERS, a HOUSE WREN, 2 ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS, 3
YELLOW WARBLERS, 10 COMMON YELLOWTHROATS, 2 WILSON'S WARBLERS, and a
WESTERN TANAGER.
