Folks:
This morning, 10/31/06, I stopped by the Sunnyvale Baylands Park and
checked the double row of cottonwoods that go from the entrance kiosk
to the Great Meadow. I found 3-4 small winter flocks, mostly of
Chestnut-backed Chickadees, Ruby-crowned Kinglets, and Yellow-rumped
Warblers, but occasionally other birds joined these flocks, including
a Downy Woodpecker, Bushtits, and Townsend's Warblers. The flock
farthest from the entrance kiosk had about four GOLDEN-CROWNED
KINGLETS, perhaps the same birds that have been found here over the last month.
