[SBB] BYWA, WIWA, WTSP along Stevens Creek north of L'Avenida

All,

This morning 10/30/06, I birded Stevens Creek from L'Avenida to
Crittenden Lane before heading to work.

Highlights included one of the hatch-year female BLACK-THROATED GRAY
WARBLERS still in the willows in the creek at the north end of the
Moffett housing complex, a WILSON'S WARBLER in the first large willow
south (about 80 yards) of the lone eucalyptus, and hatch-year
WHITE-THROATED SPARROW (still very streaked on the chest) and SPOTTED
TOWHEE (rare this close to the bay) near the Black-throated Gray Warbler
spot. Also still present were HOUSE WRENS at the lone eucalyptus and the
Crittenden Lane bridge and an adult GREEN HERON near the lone
eucalyptus. Two GREEN-WINGED TEAL all the way up the creek at L'Avenida
were unusually far upstream. Lots of AMERICAN ROBINS and CEDAR WAXWINGS
are feeding on berries south of L'Avenida.

On Friday 10/27/06, I had yet another HOUSE WREN here at work - the bird
was northeast of the north end of DeFrance Avenue, in the brush south of
Crittenden Marsh.
