[Apologies if you get this twice -- I posted it before but it didn't show
up -- this is identical, except I corrected a mistake in calculating
dates.]
I walked Stevens Creek north of L'Avenida this morning; got some pix of a
juvenile accipiter, I think SHARP-SHINNED -- it looked small, with rounded
head, eyes looked big and bill small, breast stripes blotchy, tail end
ratty but squarish. Perhaps the same one Mike Rogers reported yesterday?

At Crittenden I ran into Peggy Don and we shared good views of the ORANGE
BISHOP pair from the bridge; here's a distant pic:

I saw or heard a couple each of YELLOW WARBLERS lingering and HERMIT THRUSH
arrived.
Lots of Yellow-rumped Warblers and Ruby-crowned Kinglets, managed to get a
picture of one of the latter, looking perky:

Much pair behavior including singing by Zonotrichia sparrows, as well as
the Orange Bishop male chasing after the female -- maybe because it's the
same length of daylight as early March? I always notice Thrashers singing
around this time of year in my neighborhood.
