[SBB] Not Tennessee, cont.

I had this request on why the warbler I showed the partial pictures of in
my query post of yesterday -- http://www.pbase.com/tgrey/warbler_query --
was Orange-crowned and not Tennessee:

"I'd be, and perhaps others too, interested to hear what the distinguishing
factors are that determined that. Is it because the undertail coverts are
yellowish rather than whitish?"

I'll hope to be corrected if I get this wrong, but what I gather is that a
Tennessee should indeed have pure white undertail coverts, and should also
be a relatively bright green over the whole upperparts, and have a more
prominent eyeline than shown by my Orange-crowned Warbler -- similar to
that of a Warbling Vireo.

It's been pointed out that the Orange-crowned shown in my query post is one
of the gray-headed subspecies, either orestera or celata, called Interior
West and Taiga by Sibley. The brighter one we are more familiar with,
lutescens, is shown in my posted picture of what I knew was an
Orange-crowned: http://www.pbase.com/tgrey/image/68160949

Apparently the gray-headed subspecies can also show light/grayish undertail
coverts -- you can see this in the photos on pp. 163 and 165 of the
Dunn/Garrett warbler book, if you have that.
