[SBB] World Bird List

Title: World Bird List
I am waiting for the new Clements so that I can update the world list in taxonomic order that I use to sort my life list, which I keep in File Maker Pro.  Bird Brain for the Mac is such a rotten data base that I couldn't cope with it, but I used their numbered taxonomic list as a search feature for my life list in File Maker Pro.

Recently, I searched for "world bird list" on Google, and came up with several, but the one that I am sharing is at:    http://www.printablebirdchecklists.homestead.com/WorldCheckLists.html

The author, Mal Jenkins a Birdingpal (http://www.birdingpal.org/),  is  an Englishman living in Wales. says:
"As to which authorities I follow.. well all and none!   There are so many different authors, each doing there own thing and therefore I decided at the outset that I would not follow one in particular but take an "average" (for want of a better word) of many of the major taxonomic authors and to stick to my listing, thereby creating some continuity. I realise I am not going to be able to please everyone, and no matter which author one follows this will always be a problem if supplying world checklists. So, to sum up, if a species gets split or re-lumped I look at each of the major players and take the majority decision."

Updates are posted each month.

I hope that you find the lists useful (alphabetic and taxonomic).  They look good to me.
