I took a walk this morning, 6 Oct 06, in Arastradero Park. I had no luck with the Green-tailed Towhee, but a flock of birds working the oak trees produced a couple TOWNSEND'S WARBLERS, a couple WARBLING VIREOS, and a GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLET.
Winged ants are emerging in various places and one of these events produced an interesting flycatching observation that included both GOLDEN-CROWNED and WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS fluttering up out of a poison oak clump, as well as about a dozen dragonflies snatching them in midair.
