Hi SBBers,
At mid-day today I went over to Rancho San Antonio County Park for my walk.
Other than the more regular winter residents, I found a tan-striped variety White-throated Sparrow in a large flock of Dark-eyed Juncos and Golden-crowned Sparrows. (Two Fox Sparrows and a Song Sparrow thrown in for good measure.) The flock was in the brambles around the wooden foot bridge at the intersection of the Deer Hallow Farm trail and the Farm Bypass trail.
It was nice where the sun was shining, but there was still heavy frost and frozen puddles in the shadier portions of the park trail system and I was there between 11a-2p.........brrrrr!!
