Hi Birders-
I went to Ed Levin Park E of MIlpitas this afternoon during a break in the rain. I immediately found the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker in the tamarisks near the Spring Valley entrance. Earlier in the the day I was down at Ogier Ponds in Coyote Valley hoping to find the recently reported Green-tailed Towhee. I found Mike Mammoser hoping for same. He pointed out an American Bittern in the NE corner of the pond south of where the towhee was reported. We never saw the towhee. At Coyote Creek Golf Course there were 14 Cackling Geese visible among the larger Canadas from I was parked.
Dave Weber,
Milpitas
