South Bay Birders,
This morning (22 November) I checked Lick Mill Park and the Ulistac Natural
Area in Santa Clara. Both areas were very birdy, but I saw nothing too
unusual.
Highlights at Lick Mill Park were 5 each of Townsend's and Orange-crowned
Warblers, a Spotted Towhee (uncommon on the urban valley floor), and a
Merlin.
Ulistac had a single Orange-crowned Warbler, 3 House Wrens, a California
Thrasher, 2 Spotted Towhees, a White-throated Sparrow, and a "Slate-colored"
Fox Sparrow (among numerous Sooties).
