Hi Birders-
I stopped by Ed Levin Park to see if I could refind the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. I hadn't seen it again since first finding it last week. I went to the tamarisks near the entrance first and heard a mewwing sound from within the trees. A Red-breasted Sapsucker popped up, but it was not making the sounds. The Yellow-bellied soon showed, still mewwing. This was around 9:40 am. It was still there when I rechecked at 10 am. The row of tamarisks is divided in the center by a small gap. The YBSS was in the middle of the eastern half of the tamarisks.

Milpitas
